
Doctor of Art History, former editor-in-chief of the magazine “Kin-O” of the National Center of Cinematography of Georgia. In previous years, he was the invited editor-in-chief of the film magazine “Filmprint”.
Giorgi Razmadze is an active film scholar, writes for several publications. His main activity is research into the theory and history of cinema in the direction of avant-garde cinema, experimental cinema and new media. He has participated in about 25 local and international conferences, and is the author of almost the same number of scientific articles. He has currently published one monograph, collaborated in the creation of two books as an author, co-authored one textbook and co-editor of a scientific collection. He was a member of the editorial board of the scientific journal of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. He led a special course at the same university.
He was invited as a trainer at the film festival. He also actively conducts public lectures. At various times he was a member of the jury of festivals, a member of the selection committee for the Tsinandali Award, an expert in film education for the Film Center's educational program, as well as a permanent author of books published by the Film Center on Georgian cinema, etc. Giorgi Razmadze currently holds the position of a assistant researcher at the Dimitri Janelidze Scientific Research Institute of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, and is also a visiting lecturer at the same university.
