Film director, PhD in Audiovisual Arts, Associate Professor at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. Head of master’s programme in Audiovisual Directing and PhD programme in Audiovisual Arts, head of modules of documentary filmmaking within the same programmes, and co-head of bachelor’s programme in Filmmaking (documentary and fiction).
He has directed more than 30 documentary films and has published monographic and other scholarly works on television advertising, documentary cinema, and television directing.
After graduating from the Film Faculty of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, he worked at Georgia's Studio of Scientific-Popular and Documentary Films "Mematiane." He worked at television broadcasters: "9th Channel," "Iberia," and "Mze." Currently, he works as Head of Cinema-Photo and Video Archives at the First Channel of Georgian Public Broadcasting.
