Giorgi Pkhakadze has over 15 years of continuous administrative and academic work at the university.
Current position: Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Media and Management (since 2025).
Administrative experience: held the positions of Deputy Head of Administration (2023–2025) and Deputy Dean of the Faculty (2010–2023). Worked as the Head of the Training Center (2007– 2017) and Head of the Management Department (2009–2010).
Academic degree: PhD. Doctor of Management (in Arts Management, 2021).
Scientific focus: His research focuses on the creative economy, cultural industries, fundraising and financial architecture.
Training courses: He lectures in fundraising and sponsorship (since 2013), strategic management and project management (practical course).

Giorgi Pkhakadze’s project portfolio includes large-scale initiatives in the cultural, educational, youth and social spheres, which ensures the practical realization of his academic knowledge.
Film-educational and cultural projects
Youth film schools and festivals: is the organizer and director of the Poti (2021–2024), Oni (2021–2024) Summer Youth Film Schools and the Abasha International Children's and Youth Film Festival (2017–2019).
Production masterclasses: led the “Masterclasses in Producing - From Idea to Filmmaking” project (2025).
Cultural strategy: was a member of the Coordination Group of the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia when working on the Culture Strategy of Georgia (2015).
Regional Culture: Participated in the projects: “Cinema - Georgian Film” (2018–2019), “Art_Camp Savane” (2006) and “Museum Activity Initiatives” (2016–2019).
Social, Youth and International Projects
Youth Management: Led many youth projects, including: “Leadership in Youth” (2015), “Healthy Generation - Healthy Future” (2014) and “Step to Success” (2013–2015).

Local Government: Visiting Specialist in Management Issues at the Kutaisi Culture Service (2005–2006) and Assistant to the Mayor of Kutaisi (1997–1998).
Customs Department: Deputy Head of the Customs “Kutaisi Airport” (1998–2004).
