Head of Quality Assurance Service of Art Sciences, Media, and Management Faculty.

Head of the Cultural Tourism Program since 2007; Doctor of Geographical Sciences, Professor.

In 1995, graduated from the Sukhumi Branch of Tbilisi State University with a degree in Geography. In the same year, enrolled in postgraduate studies in Social Geography at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, specializing in Tourism Geography. In 2003, defended a dissertation on the topic: “Tourist and Recreational Resource Potential of Georgia’s Black Sea Coast and Adjacent Regions.”

Since 1998, has worked at the Sukhumi Branch of Tbilisi State University, initially as a lecturer, then as an associate professor, and since 2004 as Head of Department. Over the years, has delivered lectures at Ilia State University, Tbilisi State University, European University, SEU, the University of Georgia, and the Black Sea International University in the following disciplines: World Tourism Centers, Tour Operating, Tourist and Recreational Resources of Georgia, Ecotourism.

Since 2007, has been the Head of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Cultural Tourism at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University.

Has published textbooks and workbooks in the field of tourism, including: Tourism Economics. A Textbook for Students of Tourism Specialties, Tbilisi, 2009 (co-authored with L. Dolikashvili and N. Chekurishvili); Economics of Tourism and Hotels, 2009 (co-authored with L. Dolikashvili and N. Chekurishvili); Geography of Tourism (Lecture Course), Tbilisi, 2020; Geography of Tourism. Test and Exercise Workbook, Tbilisi, 2017; Tourist and Recreational Resources of Georgia (Lecture Course), Tbilisi, 2019; Tourist and Recreational Resources of Georgia. Test and Exercise Workbook, Tbilisi, 2018. Has also reviewed textbooks, including: Fundamentals of Tourism (Textbook), L. Dolikashvili et al., Tbilisi, 2013; Tourism Economics (Textbook), D. Davituliani, L. Kochlamazishvili, Tbilisi, 2017.

Over the years, has participated in doctoral dissertation councils: in 2008 as a reviewer at Telavi Iakob Gogebashvili State University (Doctoral Dissertation Council); as a commission member; in 2015 as Chair of the Commission at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgi State University (Doctoral Dissertation Council); in 2017 as a commission member at the Georgian Technical University (Doctoral Dissertation Council).

Actively involved in selection and competition commissions: in 2015 as a commission member at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University for the competition for the position of Head of the Arts Management Program and Professor; in 2016 as Chair of the Commission at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University for the competition for the position of Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management and Professor; in 2017 as a jury member of the Ilia Vekua Named Scholarship Scientific Commission; in 2018 as a commission member at the Georgian National University for competitions for Professor and Associate Professor positions in Tourism; during 2015–2017 as a jury member of the National Tourism Administration for international student conferences (including regional conferences in Borjomi and Zugdidi).

Since 2020 to the present, has been working as a field accreditation expert at the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. Is a war and armed forces veteran (1992–1993).
