In 2002, he defended his dissertation on “Georgian Cinema Cinematography: Traditions, Research”

In 1991-2014 he worked as a researcher at the Dmitri Janelidze Research Center of the Georgian State University of Theatre and Cinema named after Shota Rustaveli.

From 1993 to 2010 he worked as a visiting professor at the Georgian State University of Theater and Cinema named after Shota Rustaveli.

From 1996-1998, she was a guest lecturer at the Ekvtima Takaishvili Institute of Culture and the Ilia Chavchavadze Institute of Foreign Languages of Georgia

From 2007-2018 - Iliya Chavchavadze State University - guest lecturer

2013-present - Visiting lecturer at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

2003-2006 - Dean of the Faculty of Cinema and Television at the Shota Rustaveli State University of Theater and Cinema of Georgia.

2010 - National Center for Curriculum and Assessment of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia: expert.

2015-present - Associate Professor at Shota Rustaveli Georgian State University of Theater and Cinema.  

2019-2020 - Member of the Representative Council of Shota Rustaveli Georgian State University of Theater and Cinema.

2022-present - Accreditation expert of the National Center for Education Quality Development

2022-2023 - Member of the branch council of the National Center for the Development of Quality Education, Higher Education Audiovisual Arts.

Participated in a number of local and international scientific conferences, authored about 40 scientific articles and about 200 newspaper publications. Lectures on Georgian film history, film criticism and theory.
