Associate Professor of Cultural Tourism Maya Gvinjilia visited Klaipeda University (Republic of Lithuania) in October 2025 within the framework of the Erasmus+ study exchange mobility program.
During the visit, working meetings were held with representatives of the International Relations Service of Klaipeda University and the academic staff of the Tourism Department.
The lecture series presented within the framework of the study visit mainly concerned the living/intangible cultural heritage of Georgia and its role in the development of tourism (Living Heritage: Georgian Intangible Cultural Heritage and Their Role in Tourism).
Associate Professor Maya Gvinjilia also participated in the international scientific conference “Geography: Science and Education” organized by Klaipeda University, where she presented the topic: Tourism Geography of Georgia: Regional Diversity, Potential and Development Strategies.
This visit contributed to deepening partnerships between academic staff, establishing scientific connections and developing plans for future cooperation.
