Theatre Scholar, Doctor of Arts, Associate Professor

Graduated in 1979 from the Shota Rustaveli State Theatre Institute with a degree in Theatre Studies.

In 2001, defended a dissertation on the topic: “Forms of Directorial Explication.”

Since 2006, has worked as Acting Head of the Strategic Planning and Academic Process Management Service at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University of Georgia.

From 2007 to 2009, served as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Drama at the same university.

From December 2009 to December 2014, served as Dean of the same faculty, and from December 2014 to December 2022, was Head of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Office. Since December 2022, has held the position of Speaker of the Representative Council.

Since 2010, has been an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts, Media and Management (formerly the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, Business and Management), delivering lecture courses in World Theatre History.
