At the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University , entrance examinations for Doctoral programs are held in September.
Document submission takes place in September.
The examinations will also be conducted in September.
Registration for doctoral program applicants will be conducted electronically.
List of Required Documents for Participation in the Doctoral Program Admission Process:
- Application form (to be completed electronically)
- Applicant’s Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Two passport-size photos (3x4 cm) along with a digital copy on a CD
Notarized copy of a Master’s degree diploma or an equivalent academic qualification
Copy of the personal identification document
Letter of recommendation from the doctoral program supervisor or module coordinator, with appropriate justification
Certified copy of an international English language proficiency certificate (B2 level) – if available (e.g., TOEFL PBT, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Cambridge Exam)
– or a certified copy of a B2 level certificate in another Western European language
– Foreign doctoral candidates must submit a document certifying knowledge of the Georgian language

8. Written statement confirming that the applicant is not currently enrolled in a doctoral program at any other educational institution.
9. Military registration certificate and its copy, or military ID and its copy (for applicants subject to military service).
10. სადოქტორო პროგრამის შესაბამის სფეროში შესრულებული ნაშრომი/პუბლიკაცია (სტატია); ასეთის არასებობის შემთხვევაში შესაძლებელია წარმოდგენილი იყოს შესაბამის სფეროში სამეცნიერო-კვლევით პროექტებსა და ღონისძიებებში მონაწილეობის ან/და შესაბამის სფეროში მუშაობის არანაკლებ 2 წლიანი გამოცდილების დამადასტურებელი დოკუმენტი, რომელიც ადასტურებს კანდიდატის კვლევით უნარებს;
11. „დაგეგმილი კვლევის/შემოქმედებითი კვლევის თეზისი/პროექტი, რომელიც უნდა შეიცავდეს კვლევის მიზნებს და ამოცანებს, სიახლეს, კვლევის სავარაუდო მეთოდოლოგიას, კვლევის მოსალოდნელ შედეგებს და კვლევის ირგვლივ არსებული ლიტერატურის მიმოხილვას; დაცული უნდა იყოს წერის აკადემიური სტანდარტი (სქოლიო, გამოყენებული ლიტერატურა, ფორმატი: 5-7 ნაბეჭდი გვერდი, შრიფტი – „sylfaen“, შრიფტის ზომა – 11, ინტერვალი – 1);
12. Document confirming at least 2 years of professional experience and/or participation in scientific-research projects or events in the relevant field. The document should include information about the applicant’s research experience and skills (if applicable).
13. Documented proof of creative work in the form of a portfolio.
The portfolio may include:
a) For Drama Faculty programs: A video recording of a performance; film, music video, concept/explanation (explication), project; digital copy of a performance poster or program; reviews/feedback regarding the performance or film; any other relevant material demonstrating creative experience
(All materials should be submitted on a DVD)
b) For Film and Television Faculty programs: film, script, teaser, photographs, visual materials, Any other completed creative projects
