LEPL – Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University Student Self-Government is a representative entity of students, which represents students’ interests in front of university administration and during communication with governing entities. Student self-government protects rights of students and promotes student initiatives. It defines goals, responsibilities, structure and other important aspects of students.
Goals of Student Self-Government:
- Ameliorate the level of professional preparation and creative activity of students;
- Promote students’ self-realization and independent thinking ability;
- Protect students’ rights and interests;
- Ameliorate degree of civil engagement among students;
- Assist students in solving administrative and learning process difficulties;
- Organize cultural, sport, scientific and other types of events;
- Promote students’ abilities and skills;
- Develop cultural, sports, and other types of relationships with other universities;
- Engage students in the university functioning process.
Student Self-Government has a right to:
- Organize meetings, masterclasses, intellectual games, as well as scientific, sports, literature, cultural and entertainment events;
- Student self-government cooperates with university, governmental and non-governmental organizations, unions, state and international organizations.
