On May 21, 2026, within the framework of the Craiova Shakespeare International Festival, Associate Professors and theatre scholars Maka Vasadze and Lasha Chkhartishvili from the University participated in the AICT/IATC International Conference “Shakespeare on the World Stage,” held in Craiova, Romania.
They presented a paper entitled “Robert Sturua’s Shakespearean Stage Odyssey,” which examines Sturua’s Shakespearean productions in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The Shakespeare International Conference was organized by the International Association of Theatre Critics (AICT/IATC), of which the University’s Associate Professors have been members since 2008.
